Paying into Lifetime ISA from my SIPP

I have recently retired and I am drawing income from my SIPP. Can I set up a Lifetime ISA for my son from that income. Or is that viewed in the same way as you can't pay pension into another pension? Presumably because it is getting double tax relief, or am I OK to set up the Lifetime ISA?
Does anyone already do this?

How old is your son?  Presumably an adult if you've retired, but if he's over 40 then he's no longer eligible for a LISA - if he's within the age range then he can open one, and you could then pay into it....
