    It's not detached.

It's end terrace, but with extra bonus that the layout means fewer shared walls between living spaces.

If it's wrong on land registry and over databases it may mean that automated valuations come out incorrectly, but any surveyor would value it closer to 'end terrace' in my guess (I am not a valuer).

In my opinion I would only call something detached if it is not attached to someone else's house. Noise and hassle travels though shared walls.

I don't know what it is but it's 100% NOT 'detached'

Could it be that the bit in the middle was originally designed as something other than living space making it detached (single storey entrance way maybe) and then they've decided to go two storey instead making it attached? Seems weird. I have seen end of terrace being described as semi detached before so I think either is acceptable.

I think I understand the layout after looking for ages! Would I be right in saying that picture two is the side of your potential house? What still confuses me is that if the white/cream part is a garage and bedroom where in the hell is your back garden? Please Op can you show us some more pictures, I just cant fully get my head around the layout!

Maybe a satellite picture from above would clear up a little more?

I think that the pictures are the side view of the house. So from the front there is nothing either side, so could be called linked detached. That black front door, belonging to a neighbour has your property joined to their side, so they would be a semi or terraced in my view.

Don’t know where the garage is you talk of.

    A garage isn't a living space, but makes a house 'link-detached'.
That said, even a 1cm gap, possibly not visible in a photo (but still visible from the roof design), makes a house 'detached'.

The pictures are not entirely clear, but I think the property is end terrace.

    Does it actually matter?
I mean, the OP likes the property and is going to buy it.
The property is what the property is.
Anyone can call that property whatever they wish.  It won't change what the property actually is.
If it makes the OP feel better, they can call it a Manor House or Mansion ;)
