Cost of sending international texts

I need a pay as you go phone or a sim card that will let me send international texts from the UK. Does anyone know what is the cheapest network for sending texts to Australia and Egypt?

AFAIK texts cost the same regardless to send as they go via international no's
eg uk texts have the international code

I would tend to disagree for that statement as the international texts are definitely costlier as compared to UK texts.

You can call the UK mobile as well by prefixing +44 but you still get charged the national mobile to mobile rate not the international rate

texts 1p each plus data, which will be at least twenty times cheaper than any UK network

Or look at mobisms, smsbug, voipbuster or vyke, all of which have a mobile Java client for sending over wap/grps, using under 2k of data.

Vyke is cheap at 2 US cents, though Voipbuster and other Betamax VoIP clients have free messages to about 20 countries from time to time, including now.

if you are student get a BLYK simcard google it. they only charge 10p when texting abroad
