That’s appalling. I’d get the keys back first thing in the morning and make a formal complaint. As a woman who lives alone, I’d have been terrified.7

Though possibly odder for them to do so if the seller is particularly sensitive about people visiting.1 -

I am sorry that happened to you, it was really bad. I hope the EA apologise to you and bring the keys back.
The great thing is that you have sold, I remember your posts from last year.
I left keys with both my estate agent and the auctioneers when I went to auction. Both of them did viewings for me, I did a few myself.
When I sold, the buyer was able to get these keys from the auction house.
The auctioneer did give my keys to a surveyor but as I was in a rented cottage nearby, I was able to go to the house. I was annoyed not to be told.£216 saved 24 October 20140 -
