Do you mean Iquitos?
(Spelling is critical when you use travel websites.)0 -
Well you probably need to find a flight to Lima for starters, not even sure they exist from the UK. Probably be a change in Amsterdam/Paris, or even going somewhere in the States first (but would need an ESTA).0

The route is often a change in Europe. I went with Iberia and we changed planes I think, in Madrid. They fly to Lima and from there you need an internal flight to Iquitos. While it's quite a long journey the change actually helps and the scenery from the plane is amazing. You truely understand just how big the Amazon is. So get a window seat if you can.Because of the internal flight it's probably a good idea to get an agent and leave a goodly time for change. They are very through in Lima as it's also a military base.
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

There are flights to Peru from the UK but many include stops in Columbia or Brazil, often with quite a tight connection.
The OP might be better looking at a flight to Madrid or Amsterdam and booking from there to Peru direct. Maybe on the way down allowing a long stop-over in case? Amsterdam would even offer the chance of alternative modes of transport if there were huge flight delays in the UK?
There are several local airlines offering Lima to Iquitos flights, with limited price difference, so fix the Europe to Lima part first? If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

Iquitos is over 1000km from Lima, i.e. further than Lands End to John O'Groats, to put it in the context of UK distances!
Google Flights will be somewhere to start your search....0 -
