Statute of limitations

Hi,
I have a question specifically regarding statute of limitations, I am at the LOC stage of my PCN (Private carpark), I have the reply template and am ready to email it to DCBLegal- however- the date of my ‘contravention’ was 25/04/2019 which means my statute of limitations is almost expired.
With this in mind, should I wait until the 25th March to send the email (which is within 30 days of reviewing the LOC- dated 13/03/25)
so that the 30 day extension takes it right up to that date?
TIA for and advice 🙂

Even longer. Send the reply in the first or second week in April.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

use that form 29 days from the date of them sending the LOC
however i would change the reply and say you have including this debt in a DRO (debt relief order ) and that this is appointment is say the 2nd week of may
in addition ask for the 30 days to hold it whilst you seek debt advice
They may still issue a claim but your defence is as the thread title2 -
In your "hold" response, state that whilst you deny the debt, you are seeking debt advice and therefore require the case to be put on hold for 30 days as per court pre-action protocol for debt claims.
Do this as late as possible without missing the LoC deadline to respond, to ensure they cannot issue a claim before it becomes statute barred.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks3 -
but state you are seeking to include this and other debts in a DRO - they may hold it for longer -3

I submitted my request for a 30 day extension on Monday but haven’t received any acknowledgment, the LOC expires in 3 days, should I chase them?0

There is no need1

Ok so they can’t say I didn’t respond to the LOC or anything? Just concerned I don’t have any proof if they initiate court proceedings0

They will doo whatever their client decides, you have no control over their decision, nothing else you can do at this stage. So you have no choice but to wait it out for another few weeks2

Ok, thanks for the help/ advice 😊1
