Pcn dragon retail park Cardiff, which defence to go with? Moorside legal stage.

Options
I've read the newbie and am acting accordingly but any extra help/advice will be appreciated.

So I've apparently been issued a pcn at dragon retail park in Cardiff on 13/9/24.
Reason being " Non customer park in a customer only car park".
I was a customer at wicks Cardiff on that day but don't have any receipts proving this unfortunately.
Wicks Cardiff are very unhelpful, Absolutely no help whatsoever from the manager. Looking at what other people have said this car park is extremely unforgiving in issuing pcn's.

The thing is they have also got my address wrong so this is the first I have heard of the pcn.

Example...
Jo smith
Sale,
Manchester,
M33 7DR
(Not my address or name)

They've missed the house name. Where I live in a small area in south Wales the postcode covers the entire village. Neighbours receiving parcel's is common.
I've never received anything prior to this debt recovery letter from mooreside legal, demanding £170

I was going to send an email to wicks ceo and the land owner ( I got the land owners address from this forum. Unsure if correct).

Should I go with the fact I was a customer on that day or wrong address?
Or both?

Any help appreciated in advance.

The complaint is based on how horrified you are to be wrongly threatened with court when you were a Wickes customer (do take care to spell the retailer's name right or you'll lose their sympathy right there)!

Re the Moorside letter, send the LBC response in the NEWBIES thread which includes correcting a wrong address. You MUST make sure that you receive the claim form.

IMHO they won't get anywhere with this, it's just like a leaving site scam they try on, think about it what possible evidence can they have that you was a "non customer"?
  • Update...

Apologies i can't delete the post and start over so some fresh details...

I'm a trade customer with wickes and I'm in and out more times than I remember.

That day I may have not entered the store as I recall checking stock online while having a sandwich.  To which what I wanted wasn't in stock.

I've probably done this a few times but never received a pcn for it.

Sorry but I've only just learned about this pcn from September.

So you ARE a customer of Wickes!
In any case you are over thinking this.
