Hi
I have a Panasonic WH-SDC16C6E5 heat pump and I am on a time-of-day tariff, so need to change the times when the legionella protection cycle runs to the early hours of the morning.
Contacted Panasonic who were useless and advised to contact a plumber…
Nothing in the manual that helps either.
Does anyone know how to access the timings for this and change it please?
Many thanks
Mark
(I'm aware so folk believe it isn't necessary, but this question is simply about altering the timing.)

I don't know the Panasonic controm system but with my parents' Grant Aerona the legionella cycle is set by a standalone immersion heater timer.Something like this:N. Hampshire, he/him. Octopus Intelligent Go elec & Tracker gas / Vodafone BB / iD mobile. Ripple Kirk Hill member.
2.72kWp PV facing SSW installed Jan 2012. 11 x 247w panels, 3.6kw inverter. 34 MWh generated, long-term average 2.6 Os.Not exactly back from my break, but dipping in and out of the forum.Ofgem cap table, Ofgem cap explainer. have a look at the operation manual - https://tda.panasonic-europe-service.com/docs/2z67d81e3cz3z36efcz656ez706466z24z4dffe0094770d03fffffe9ede4a6ff4cd8ea8f81/tsn2/data/EU/WHSDC07C3E5/OI/892363/F568558.pdf
Page 5 tells you which functions to adjust but like most heatpump controllers its a bit like piloting the Starship Enterprise. My fifteen year old Daikin is much the same and needs a bit of thought before delving into the system settings menu.
Its a good idea to write down all the settings so if you do muck it up you can get back to where you started. I set up a spreadsheet for mine with all the possible parameters, logged how it was set up and then changed one thing at a time to see what effect it had (give it a day or two between tweaks to settle down)Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers1 -

Ideally you want the heatpump to do most of the work to get the hot water up to temp and then just top it off with the immersion heater if necessary. I guess thats why some Aerona owners dont get maximum efficiency out of their system if the immersion is doing its own thing.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
Not at all a weird idea. About a week after my heat pump was installed it stopped working with error code 14. This turned out to be a blocked filter and was fixed as soon as my installer could revisit. But in the mean time I had no hot water because the heat pump had total control of my immersion heater and it was was fixated on being in an error state and so it locked the controls. After that, I got my immersion heater rewired so that both I and the heat pump could turn the immersion heater on and off as necessary.Reed1
