HELP - after completion of N180 form and settlement letter from Parkingeye

Options
Hi, (FAO: @KeithP)

I've completed and sent in my N180 form with help of MSE thread (thank you!). I've now just received a 'settlement' letter from Parkingeye to pay £185.00 instead of £210 after I have rejected all costs.

Do I ignore this letter and wait for the court to decide and a medication call?

Grateful for any help as I have already invested sooooo much time I'm not willing to let go now.

Thank you in advance :)

Presumably you have received a PCN, a LBC followed by a N1SDT form, you completed your AoS and submitted a defence by e-mail.  We could do with some more detail but why would you pay ParkingEye anything when you could pay £0.  Mediation dcall is next, then allocation to the court of your choosing via your N180 and of course your Witness Statement, all of which you will find in the NEWBIE sticky and/or 12 steps.

Thanks @Le_Kirk. Yes all completed including POPLA rejection however I don't have witness report and also noticed the N180 hasn't been received by email advised on NEWBIE thread: "DQ.CNBC@justice.gov.uk" <DQ.CNBC@justice.gov.uk>
Is this address correct to return N180 back via email please?
    Thanks and advise taken :)

Not sure what you mean by witness report! Did you mean Witness Statement?  You will be writing a Witness Statement after the case has been allocated to your local court that you selected on your N180. What do you mean by N180 hasn't been received by email? Who hasn't received it? You, meaning the one from the claimant? Have you received a blank one by post from CNBC? When completed it goes by email to the address in the template defence thread (and to the claimant) and the one you have shown looks right.

If you sent your N180 by email to the DQ email address at the CNBC you should have received an email auto response from the CNBC,  either in your Inbox or spam folder

Just a quick check - is it PE themselves suing you, or are DCB Legal involved?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    Thanks @Le_Kirk, @Gr1pr and @Umkomaas.
It is PE only as the claimant.
I had my mediation hearing today but No settlement agreed so it will be fwded for court. Does anyone know the maximum costs I could be looking at if I lose? i.e. The original fine was £60. Then £210 by the time it went to the mediation hearing.

But you already know the max risk from the NEWBIES thread.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The original invoice   ( not fine   ) would have been £100 , not £60, the latter was the early settlement figure which expired 2 weeks later , so the £100 is in play

A typical loss in court is around £212 , the claim is perhaps £210, but without seeing the figures on the pcn and claim form,  I suspect around £190 , or the £185 they offered  !

Thanks very much @Gr1pr - that's super helpful!
I would be prepared to take that risk

It's less than the claim because they added a false £25 fee not on their signs.
