I'm so sorry your mother is having a hard time settling Valli. It must be heart-breaking knowing one is on a one-way trip, but it's also hard on everyone around them too. (((hugs)))Wordle in five, Strands with no hints, hopeless on Connections yet again.I've spent the whole of yesterday and today in the kitchen cooking up a storm for the freezer so I can go back to aiming to lose a few lbs. I lost 4kg overall by changing to a high protein breakfast and homemade soup for lunch so I have hopes I can repeat it over the next few weeks. Belovéd wants to shed a bit as well so we've agreed to cut down on the things we know do the damage and see where that takes us.I also planted a few seeds today, chives, basil, parsley and dill in pots as we've got a south facing sundeck that is sheltered from the wind and the temperature is looking pretty groovy for the next week or so. I've never been good at growing things from seed and I'd really like to be able to. Belovéd tells me he has bought me a mini-greenhouse that he likes the look of which should arrive tomorrow so I'll be able to see if I can continue my run of killing tomato plants grown from seed in my usual highly efficeint way. I must also repot my rhubarb plants because they're growing so fast I can practically see it. I don't kill them unless I try to split them - that never ends well.Better is good enough.6

so we have paid extra for 1-1 supervision of mum and she has managed to go into someone’s room and do something. How? and when i say extra i mean £1500. pfft. And that was just for the weekend. We are now looking for specialist dementia care for severe dementia, with nursing. If we are really unlucky she’ll end up sectioned. She is profoundly unhappy, has psychotic episodes and displays aggression probably through being fearful most of the time. Her quality of life is poor, and the impact it’s having on my sister and me isn’t good, we seem to be spending more time trying to deal with this !!!!!! than we did before and it’s costing a grand and a half a week and we are running round like flies with blue bums.
Sorry for ranting but i’m at the end of my tether.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
