Lebara 90 day inactivity period
Options
From my understanding of Lebara terms, after 90 days of inactivity (call/text/data), the credit balance will be removed which i can reclaim during the following 90 days (180 days since chargeable activity)
I dont use mobile phone much, but necessary to receive texts for online banking etc.
Do Lebara send a notification before the 90 day period?
I did ask Lebara and this was the response (which i dont think is totally correct)
'Thank you for contacting Lebara Customer Care. Hope you are doing well.If you don't make a chargeable call/text/data for a consecutive 90 day period sim will get disable and balance will get expired'.
This is the Lebara terms
60.
If you do not use the Pre-Pay Services to carry out at least one
chargeable activity ( make a call, send a text or use data) with your
Lebara SIM for a consecutive period of 90 days, you will lose any top up
credit or outstanding balance remaining. To continue using our
services, you will need to make a top up or add a plan online or with a
voucher in-store.
61.
You can request for a refund for up to 180 days from the last
chargeable activity ( call, texts or data usage) made with your Lebara
SIM as shown on your Account.
62.
If your do not use the Pre-Pay services to make atleast one chargeable
event for a further consecutive period of 365 days, this agreement will
be deemed terminated by you, the service will be disconnected and the
SIM will no longer be available for further use.

Those are definitely the new terms when I last checked t&cs a few months back. However, I'm not sure if in reality it will work like that as it seems quite generous.1
