We have Tapo tc60s in our house, local storage on sd card, handy to keep an eye on the doggos when we are out but also act as cctv for front and back garden (work through the window).  About £20-£25 a pop, can track movement and records it and you can see it on the app
I would also recommend the tapo app. I have TP-Link C200 cameras, cost ~£25. You're not forced to install an SD card unless you want automatic recording. You can initiate recording with the tapo app and the photos or video recordings are stored on your phone, which is handy for sharing evidence. Also you don't have to pay for a cloud subscription.

One handy feature is you can set an alarm (light and/or siren) to go off when motion is detected. That ought to deter anyone with a key from unannounced entry, especially if you also put up a small yellow sign on your door saying 'cctv in operation'.
Hi  do the rotate or stay still will need 3 and when i am hoe at weekend can switch of as not wish alrams going of as son comes to stay
I have an outdoor Tapo CCTV. It can be control by app.

Yes, you view it through the App. No subscription needed. Battery life 6 months because it's a battery......Recharged via USB, App informs of battery level.
