Don't forget to number each paragraph as stated in the Court Order:-

"In here should I put the claim document from MCOL? they're actually claiming about £180 plus £50 solicitor costs"
No. The judge will have the Claim Particulars.  Not that this will get to a hearing!

Good WS except the overuse of the word 'individual' at the start sounds like you are hiding who is who.
Thank you so much, so basically just leave the paragraph as is and use the amounts from the letter they sent me, as per my first post? I was thinking of scanning the MET letter where it shows a request of £100 and then the DCB Legal showing the £170 to prove the difference. This would be EX_03

I have re-done the paragraph - or should I mention it was a family member that was being picked up?

"On the evening of 24 November 2023, the vehicle was driven to the Southgate Park site while awaiting the arrival of an individual travelling from Stansted Airport. The Claimant’s own ANPR evidence confirms that the vehicle entered the site at 23:28 on 24 November 2023 and exited at 00:22 on 25 November 2023. The entirety of the visit therefore took place during hours of darkness, and the vehicle left the site shortly thereafter."

Thank you for your help so far

"should I mention it was a family member that was being picked up?"
Yes - get rid of 'individual' ...BUT it all sounds too much like you were bilking in a retail park to avoid paying an Airport car park fee.

You don't pick up travellers from Airport retail parks; that's bilking (misuse of the premises) which is why traders get a PPC in. Never ever do that!

I'd instead say the car was driven there temporarily for a bite to eat or coffee from McDonalds as they were too early for the family member they were picking up from the Airport. The family has since found out that the car park - which is very poorly delineated between the restaurants, with no clear information about supposedly different bays - is such a well known notorious trap that the whole issue was exposed on TV by Joe Lycett (see exhibit xx video link which shows the issue in daylight).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Perfect thanks will add this instead. I suppose the video link will help my case after all. Also to send the link, should I simply send a notepad document with the link on it? Or add it somewhere in this WS

    Both maybe.

But you'll see your case discontinued anyway!

    Fingers crossed!

So just recapping now, Witness statement, exhibits: 1 - Google maps layout; 2 - picture from the letter showing dark environment; 3 - Notepad document with link to the video (also in the WS at the end of the paragraph); 4 - 1st letter and DCB letter where the first letter shows £100 and the DCB £170.

Now email it to the court and DCB?

    Yep. Signed & dated.

The local court hearings or enquiries email, with the claim no and DEFENDANT's WITNESS STATEMENT in the subject line.

    Hey everyone,

I am getting a bit concerned as I haven't received any letter to say the case has been discontinued, the court date is set for the 13th March, if I don't get anything, I am guessing I will need to turn up in court?

I have emailed this to the enquires email of the court and to DCB

But haven't had anything back yet from anyone.

    Thanks

Phone the court and see if they paid the hearing fee, or has the claim been discontinued and the hearing vacated
