I'd noticed the rim blocks had disappeared. Off the internet site as well cos they used to be in my "favourites."

I don't like the way the little Tesco don't sell Value products as I work in London and can't get the value ham and have to rely on bf to take me to the big Tesco near where we live, so I can't just collect stuff on the way home.

The chocolate disappeared at our store for a while but when it came back it was soooo much nicer! I think sometimes they take things out if they're not selling well, then introduce 'improved' versions later.
Wish they'd improve the coco pops -ugh!

I'd noticed this too, and well before Christmas. I can't get the value muesli any more, although there does now seem to be a value bran flakes, which suits me ok. I couldn't find the value lasagne sheets either. It will be interesting to see whether anything else disappears over the next few months.

I got value meusli - but in a box, smaller amount and as far as I can remember - the same price!

Like you all I could no longer get value Malt Loaves and tissues in my local store. I spoke to manager & each store decides what to stock from the value range. He did get the tissues back but not the malt loaf so now I go to Asda down the road.

I think they think if they can get away with making you buy the more expensive alternative they will.

  • i couldn't get value tinned sliced mushrooms at the weekend.

looking at previous posts on this thread though, i can still get value tinned plum toms and malt loaf so it does look like it's the store's decision as to what's stocked.
  • I've seen the value pickled onions. They disapeared from our local store for a while, but they reappeared a month or so ago. I bought some value beetroot this evening and noticed the priced had gone up by 1/3 from 20p to 29p!

You mean get shot if you break your leg? :p Nothing wrong with a bit of value. Saves you money for the important things....like hay and carrots ;)

Tesco's are jokers though, the value orange peeves me the most Sassamac. I only bought it cos it was cheap now it makes more sense to buy the Cranberry Juice as I think it's better for you than cheap OJ.

I think the Big T reckon we don't notice when they up prices. I avoid the product if they have really taken the mick with a price.
