Drip feeding stocks and shares isa from a cash isa

I just wondered if this is possible?
My fixed isa has just matured (around £10k). I want to put more into my existing stocks and shares isa but don't want to do it as a bulk transfer/purchase.
Can I open a new cash isa, transfer the matured isa money to that, and then transfer a bit each month from the new isa into my existing stocks and shares isa?
I guess I'd have to open a flexible cash isa, would that be correct?
Are there any problems with this plan? And is it possible? Or anything better I should do instead.
And if I do manage to get more cash savings over the year, am I right in thinking I could put that into the flexible cash isa anyway?
Thanks.

Probably simpler just to transfer the £10K to a S&S ISA and leave the bulk of it in cash to drip feed unto investments. Most S&S ISA's pay interest on cash, although usually a bit less than you could get in a cash ISA, but would save a lot of bother.3
