Someone using my phone number to sign up online

Is there any way to stop spam calls. I think someone has a similar number,  and used it online. Now they are ringing asking for a lady on my number

Just ignore the calls.

If you must answer, just say there's nobody by the name of Mrs Bucket/Bouquet here.  Goodbye.  And then just hang up.

Unfortunately they are often private numbers,  and multiple times a day. I think she's got me accidentally on to one of these marketing lists.

 I get constant phone calls from people thinking they are calling the British Heart Foundation charity shop in town. My number is listed on their website. I've contacted them and they apologise but have done nothing about it. I just say sorry and put the phone down

I get a call a couple of times a year on the (soon to die) landline for a second-hand record store on the local High Street that ceased trading 15 years ago. 

I blame the internet, the number's correct. Was recycled to me 10 years ago.

Just block the number from your phone...

They say the calls are coming from a withheld number so either you block all withheld calls or you have to deal with the wrong ones.

I have withheld numbers blocked anyway.....I see no point in answering them, if they don't want me to know who they are, I don't wish to talk to them....😁

Unfortunately hospital and medical are all private or withheld number.

I have a lady called Mina who continually signs up for credit of all kind using my mobile number and then she never pays anything.
