BRSK

I am in touch with a salesperson from BRSK who called at my door and left a flyer. He says that IF I leave my talk talk broadband and phone contract early and pay their leaving charge/s BRSK will gift me £150 credit so that I would not pay their monthly fee for quite some months. They also estimate that I will have saved probably about £90 in all. BUT they said that IF I approach BRSK tele sales they will probably only offer to match the cancellation fee which is about £60. I am not sure how I feel about that. Any thoughts? Generally I would avoid doing business with anyone who called unprompted at my door. This if genuine does seem attractive.

BRSK in my area focussed on expanding where the likes of Openreach, Virgin and Cityfibre had no plans to provide FTTP. Quite often more remote villages with many properties, but too far from existing infrastructure. They took a punt on one village and take up was double their target, almost 80% of residents signed up.
I've also heard good things from business users where Openreach have failed.
So if they are the only player for FTTP well worth a look, if they are one of many do the usual research if it is time to change provider.0 -

Virgin Media and Openreach are similar in terms of their names. They are not English but they are of an ancient African origin.
Virgin Media translates to “For when you can’t get Openreach” and Openreach translates to “For when you can’t get an altnet”.
Both are mediocre operators with poor offerings and pricing. Brsk will blow you away with their very low latency and symmetrical service. You will notice it immediately with fast responsiveness when browsing the internet and when using cloud storage for backups. You will also notice improved loading times for streaming services and less bufferbloat.
If you can get access from an altnet then by all means go for it.
