    I'm not clear on how the negative balance suddenly appears.  But that's irrelevant, really - sound like a classic example of the pig-butchering scam:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pig_butchering_scam

    I agree, I suspect that the OP actually means that money is credited to his "account" in whatever online environment the scammers have you "working". I'd be gobsmacked if they actually bait this trap with real cash credited to your real world account. 

    If they do then I'm in.
    They do sometimes pay real cash, but this actually comes from another victim of the scammers and when they cotton on and report it then the OP will find themselves in the middle of a money laundering investigation.

    Well unless the scammers can guarantee that the cash I'm going to get has come from legitimate sources, and has been fully-declared to the appropriate revenue and regulatory authorities then I'm not going to play.
