other mini computer owners were saying check for pre-installed viruses.
other than that just make sure everything is working before you reinstall windows.

Is it possible to perform a clean reinstall Windows under the device's original OEM licence?

Plenty of them with similar spec sold at AliExpress at slightly lower price.

I think you'll find that the prices are significantly higher on AE, once you've spec'd it up to 16GB RAM.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

People will see the N100 in the title and not see the Celeron CPU listed lower down.

A virus does not need to be in the OS to self install.

I'll check what CPU is installed.

"A virus does not need to be in the OS to self install." - that sounds rather sinister. Care to explain?

It could be sinister or just a clean simple way to install the drivers,  you can have infected files in the BIOS itself or in a protected section
of the storage medium.  Similar to the way some fake SD cards show 128GB when in reality all data over 4GB or 8GB gets overwritten.

They alter the header information and some motherboard manufacturers self install their own software  (ASUS ARMOURY CRATE)
self installed whilst I was installing Windows.   Naughty Naughty ASUS.  But it made me wonder what else could be installed along with
    the OS.

I looked up the windows product key in the registry, and wrote it down. Then I repartitioned the disc and installed windows using  that product key. It might have worked without doing that, but I didn’t want to find out the hard way.

It is currently on our guest Wi-Fi and I will test extensively for viruses.
