N100 Mini PC Desktop Computer, Intel 12th Gen Alder Lake- N100(up to 3.4GHz), 16GB DDR4 RAM 512GB M.2 PCIe SSD, Support 4K Dual Display/USB3.2/WiFi5/BT4.2/Win 11 Pro

Delivery from Amazon, and free returns within 30 days, so I've ordered one.

What tests do people suggest that I carry out on receipt? I'm planning to check it out without connecting to the network, then wipe the SSD and reinstall W11 Pro.

other mini computer owners were saying check for pre-installed viruses.
other than that just make sure everything is working before you reinstall windows.
    unit looks good.

Amazing little unit, very fast, however Hard Drive Interface ‎PCIE x 4 is not true

It is hard wired x1 PCI-e and about 1gb/s transfer. not the 3-4gb/s I was expecting when I swapped the SATA out for NVME

Given that this is a low end cpu, I can’t believe that the SSD transfer speed makes much difference in real life.

Anyway, the package has arrived already. Left in the open porch, without even ringing the doorbell!

    "Currently unavailable". Obviously popular.
I have a mini-pc with similar spec (but not this brand) currently in use as a media pc. It's excellent (running Mint 2.21).

A bit jankie as they are made more for the price point. The chip is legit, but the HDD and RAM are usually poor quality.

Think of it as Intels version of the "Amazon Firestick" i.e made for simple tasks, not to offer a full power desktop.

I've installed a few of these both AMD and Intel versions, for offices that want to save space.

Plenty of them with similar spec sold at AliExpress at slightly lower price.

People will see the N100 in the title and not see the Celeron CPU listed lower down.

A virus does not need to be in the OS to self install.
