Hi
Is there anyway to check or find out were your information is being shared / sold to and by who ?
Am curious, as couple things have raised question marks for me , I don't think companies or even banks are honest with there own data/privacy policy
What worst that could happen with company sharing or selling info to 3rd party and how much can you hold them liable for miss use

This is the nuts and bolts of GDPR - if you're concerned about a company misusing your information, then have the right to request a copy of all the information they hold on you and information about what they are doing with it. If they are processing your data without consent then you can request they stop doing so. You can raise a complaint to the ICO if you believe they are not adhering to the rules, and the fines in the worst instances can be quite significant.

I should add that establishing liability/compensation is outside the remit of the ICO. You will ultimately need to prove any losses at court if you wish to go down that route.3 -

If you want to store your documents, photos, etc. away from systems where others can potentially access it (Google Drive, Microsoft Cloud, etc) one of the best and most secure is Proton Drive https://proton.me/Proton is free up to 5GB of storage, has phone apps too.

As I see it, you may have a problem if you do not know which company /companies or organisation(s) are potentially responsible for any suspected breach of GDPR regarding your data.It is hardly practical to ask everyone who potentially caused a breach to respond....unless of course it is a serious issue or you have a pretty good idea of which!0

When you say they aren't honest, have you read each set of data information? It is a heck of a task and you have to keep your wits about you.I did it when it first came in. Also those for Loyalty Cards (similar effect)They say they won't share and then later 'except for their partners' and such. If you follow that through to their partners and partners partners etc it's a never ending chain.
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
viral kindness .....kindness is contageous pass it on
The only normal people you know are the ones you don’t know very well

Iam not massively bothered, however it what could potentially follow if your data is mis used which it feels like you wouldn't know else something major happens,
I was genuinely curious if there was like site or something that says your x detail was shared with so and so
Like this company shared my address to them this why I got x email or letter in post . i get there probably no 100% way to avoid everything but part me hates being over cautious,as it gets exhausting and annoying, like e.g if wanna use streaming service won't use else super popular but then will read about how sold users data etc and will spend weeks debating if should subscribe
My tasks are becoming so pathetic and painful just over simple things just because I am dwelling how they handle data on obsessive level- it took me a Year! to decide make a site for my hobby even though millions of people used there service and going over extreme lengths like set up PayPal add funds , remove bank details and alter personal details before getting a membership
Know am currently thinking doing same for crunchyroll just so I can watch anime but yep it been almost 8 months and am still debating 😔
I don't know what to do or how to break out this

There are organisations (e.g. OptOutUK, DeleteMe, Incogni) which claim to automate discovery and sending of deletion requests for personal data, for a price of course.0

Have a look at these and see if they are of use to you (there are others):
