Reposting this in a better suited thread 🤞just seeing if anyone’s had a similar issue

Last few months the engine management light has been on/off - taken it into Ford 5 times and the end result is a new wiring loom and some sensors and pcm (not sure that’s the part but the ‘brain’) - will be just under £5000 to do all the work but the engine loom part isn’t available as they don’t manufacture it anymore - Ford have tried some temporary repairs but it needs the new parts to be resolved and these aren’t possible to get.

Haven’t even had the car 2 years and it will eventually just die and I can’t use it - one of the staff recommended just trying to get rid of it and pay off the losses.

can anyone advise??
Because garage said they can’t get the part anymore and other local garages said they can’t investigate as it needs specialist diagnostics so maybe an auto electric mechanic is best but I’m not sure how it all works

Thanks in advance
