Satellite dish wires cut after cancelling tv licence

Could be being paranoid but I cancelled my tv licence last year & have now noticed that one of the wires to my old satellite dish has a good 2 inch chunk cut out of it where it enters my home. Could be just random act of vandalism but it did get me thinking if anyone else had experienced this? Obviously I didn’t notice as I’ve not had sky for years.

No one from the BBC or their muppets (Capita IIRC) are going to have come around and cut your satellite cables because you have cancelled your TV license.
That's paranoia on another scale.6 -
🤣 I suppose but i did catch a blink vid of a guy who knocked on the door not long after while I was away & saw him looking up at the roof lol0

Well just cuz your paranoid doesn't mean that they aren't out to get you!!!
But realistically the door knockers don't get paid enough to go about climbing up to cut wires. Indeed but its very accessible at the side & ground level of the house. I’ve obviously annoyed someone too chicken to knock on the door lol0

I have in the past knocked on a person's door and looked up.Never cut a random cable though.Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid2

Au contraire, nothing random about this cable. Thanks for sharing though.0

There's no history of anyone associated with TV Licensing/BBC vandalising TV infrastructure attached to people's homes.
It wouldn't make sense to do it because (a) there's a fair chance of being seen and caught, and (b) they want possibly illicit TV installations to remain so they can catch evaders.0 -
Hmm - my twopenny worth - yes, they did it1
