Also, I have received a second claim form for a separate car. I did the AOS and was preparing the defence (was going to use same defence) but noticed that in the POC the wording is slightly changed. It doesn't say a PCN was issued. It instead says The dates of contravention are 01/07/2024, 04/07/2024, and the defendant was issued with Parking Charges by the claimant. I have kept everything the same in my defence, but can I still use this sentence in this defence - The POC incorrectly claims that a PCN was issued on 01/07/2024, 04/07/2024, (dates of the alleged visits), however, no such PCN was ever issued. Thanks

Correct. Changed 5 weeks ago. Loads of claim threads you could read from the past month with defences altered to suit.

Hi everyone. Received the N180 form in the post. Have read the forum and started filling it online ready to send to court and the claimant solicitor. I have selected my son for the mediation as I won't be around. This may sound silly but because I am overseas quite a lot, if this does escalate (e.g. they dont drop the claim) will I have to attend court in person, or is there anywhere on the form I can indicate for my son to deal with this in person. I have read that they usually drop it soon. Do you guys think I should just leave it as it is with my son dealing with mediation call and see what happens? Thanks

Yes. But make sure on the N180 that you block off as 'unavailable' entire weeks - ALL YEAR - and add two days either side of likely flights.

Hi thanks for the response. Just a couple of questions. In terms of writing this on the form. I am pretty certain I won't be around if a hearing ever does come up so for the question How many witnesses, including yourself, will give evidence on your behalf at the hearing?

Should I select 1 (e.g. my son) and then cross out all dates in the next 9 months for myself
Or do I select 2 (e.g. my son and me) and then cross out all the dates in the next 9 months for myself

    Thank you

Your son can't attend without you.

Is it likely to go that far or do you think it will probably discontinue?

No, that's unreasonable ... if you mean you are crossing out the entire nine months?!

Why not explain where you will be working and ask for a remote (telephone or video) hearing?
