EE Billing Fault

My bill is produced on the 4th of the month and should be visible in My EE from the 5th. 

But it isn't.

After battling through their ridiculous AI Chat, I spoke to a human who told me there is a billing problem and to allow 72hours. They will apparently allow extra time for payment, which I took to mean they'll take the direct debit at a later date (as they have to inform you of the amount beforehand)

So if your bill was due to be produced earlier this month, it's worth checking whether it has,   as otherwise your DD date might be later than expected.

    Although there doesn't seem to be much interest here I thought I'd update you. 

    There's still no resolution to this and I am told by EE that many customers are in the same position, they are working on a resolution but as yet there's no ETA. 

    In fact the situation. Has got slightly worse as the My EE app now shows "We're working on your first bill" ( I've been with them since I was a T-Mobile customer!). Online shows the February bill, with payment due by 16th March, next bill on 4th March. Elsewhere on the page it says the next bill is 4th April. 

    They've offered me a month's unlimited data but I already have Unlimited data!

    So I just have to wait until either the bill appears or they answer my complaint. 

    You'd imagine that accurate timely billing would be a basic function of any large company.

    Many of the banking and various utilities billing systems were designed decades ago, and all of the people who designed them have moved on or retired. Additionally, as companies downsize their workforce over time, there becomes no-one left who really knows how any of it works. Supposedly "simple" changes usually break other things. These unexpected issues might not be easy to fix without breaking something else.  Replacing with a new system becomes almost impossible for the same reasons.

    Although I haven’t heard back about the complaint, the bill has appeared in My EE. The odd message about preparing my order/first bill is still there though.
