Sky TV & Broadband mid-contract price rise April 2025

I received email 6 March 2025 stating that my TV Signature will increase by £7 and Broadband by £3 (£10 total) on 1st April. My future bills show the same increases. I spoke to 2 Sky agents by phone who insisted that my Signature increase is only £4 and talked about a £3.70? Price protection offer that has apparently expired. I have never heard of this offer, it was not mentioned when I renewed my contract in July 2024 and can find no mention of it in my account despite the agents saying it's in the My Sky App. How can a Sky agent insist that I will only be paying £4 more for Signature when the future bill clearly states £7? I have put in a complaint to Sky. Anyone else with similar issue?

    Read your T&CS:

"We may increase the price of any of your TV subscription services at any time by giving you at least 31 days’ notice in writing.

"During the minimum term, unless it is for a reason set out in condition 11.8 below [Price Protection] (where the followingincrease limits do not apply), we may increase the then standard price of each TV subscription service only once in any 12 month period and the increase will not be more than 10% or the increase in the UK Retail Price Index over the 12 months before we tell you about that price increase, whichever is greater."

Sky increases are pre-discount IIRC and based on the full price, so if for argument's sake the full price increase was £10 and you were on a 30% discount, your increase would be £7.

I cancelled SKY Q in Jan 2024 as the price was ridiculous and they weren't prepared to renegotiate the price down to my liking. Then after they switched off the service in Feb 24, I called them back and signed up to a new 18 month contract for Sky signature and HD add on for £14 month. Then in June 24 they put this up by £2 month to £16, then in Feb 25 they put it up again by £2.50 month to £18.50. On Sat they sent me a letter saying from April 1 another price rise will come into effect, this time £4 month to £22.50 month. So in just over 13 months they have increased my package by 60%. The contract ends in August 25 but is this legal?

If I signup to Sky Broadband today (or this week), will I be hit with the April price increase or will I be OK for this year?
