Trouble with comparison sites - are any truly accurate?

Hi,
I'm shopping around for replacement broadband. I'm going to comparison sites - and they are all showing fibre broadband as being available here. I'm in really rural Scotland and we don't have fibre here, only copper wiring I can't be bothered to go though the application with everyone individually to see what's actually available and what isn't. Are there any which will only show what's actually available? Thanks.

Fibre broadband is a rather misused term. You might not have "fibre to the premises"(FTTP, aka "full fibre", where they bring an optical fibre to your house) but does your exchange have "fibre to the cabinet" (FTTC, where there's an optical fibre as far as one of BTs green roadside boxes then copper from there to your home)?Which sort of fibre are you being offered? FTTP is usually offered at much faster speeds than FTTC.N. Hampshire, he/him. Octopus Intelligent Go elec & Tracker gas / Vodafone BB / iD mobile. Ripple Kirk Hill member.
