might be worth checking how much the Jet2 flights would be on their site for your dates to see if the total due (deposit + extra) is roughly correct for the flights and any applicable baggage etc.0

Thanks all, I think I'll just mentally move on from this and take my medicine. otherwise I'll just be bitter about it. I feel for anyone else who has to go through something similar. It feels like being scammed or digitially mugged! Luckily I'm finacially able to afford the loss - although it stings like hell.
