Can music from youtube or another free source be converted and put onto an MP3 player?
Can wireless headphones be used with an MP3 player?
Sorry for my ignorance, I'm currently using my phone to listen to music on the go, but want to change to a stand alone device.

Yes, but quality may vary.madlyn said:Can music from youtube or another free source be converted and put onto an MP3 player?
Yes if the device supports Bluetooth directly, or with a phono to Bluetooth adapter if not.madlyn said:Can wireless headphones be used with an MP3 player?
Can I ask why?madlyn said:Sorry for my ignorance, I'm currently using my phone to listen to music on the go, but want to change to a stand alone device.0 -
In terms of your headphones you'll need a device that supports Bluetooth connectivity, and headphones that are Bluetooth enabled.

I've enough apps and other things on my phone and personally would find a seperate device better suits me.MattMattMattUK said:

The simple solution would be a phone with just a music player / e.g. Spotify loaded on to it.madlyn said:

That's a thought, but would it still need to be a working phone? as in having some sort of tariff/call plan? especially if I wanted to download music from Spotify or Amazon to listen when flying.

If it's purely for offline use, with music that you own and have copied to the device, then the phone doesn't need a SIM/data plan. You can download any music player app via wifi, and then use it to play your music when you are out and about in exactly the same way as you would a dedicated mp3 player.madlyn said:

We use an old iPhone 5s purely as a music player. No SIM contract etc..1

I have Amazon Music Unlimited app on my Android phone. Music I choose to download to the phone's storage (when on WiFi) can be played without needing any internet or 3G connection.1

I believe Spotify lets you download for offline listening. You just need a WiFi connection at home when you want to load the music inmadlyn said:

But as there is not data or call plan on it, would I still be able to download the Spotify or Amazon music apps?SPC 0370
