Slimline Dishwasher v's Standard Size?

but after ozskin mentioned Smeg, I saw this one....http://www.smeguk.com/Catalogue/Product/DI61.aspx

Any opinions? I have had several Bosch appliances over the years and never had any issues with them. I've never bought Smeg before but that's not to say I wouldn't, lol.

Once the kitchen is in, I do intend to cook more from scratch which probably means more washing up so I'd like something that would be reliable and also quiet.

i do hope smeg dishwashers are good, because we've just ordered one to go with our new kitchen.

We have to Bosch Clasixx Slimline, it's an excellent dishwasher, I would say go for the full-size, the slimline is perfect for 2 but too small for 4 or more unless you want to wash pans etc by hand

I'd recommend Bosch for dishwashers - we have had our Bosch dishwasher for ten years and it is still going strong. We use it at least once a day, and it hasn't ever gone wrong (touch wood!).

although bosch is no longer the brand it once was, quality has taken a real nosedive and variable across the board though some bits are still ok. the smeg orbital arm system (patented) is v simple v clever and gives much better wash results. bosch neff and siemens all same co and approx 5 yrs ago big changes only siemens retains the quality that they were all used to enjoy plus there are cheaper ss door options on that smeg you highlighted, shout if you need more
