Morning all
Bright and sunny here although still cold but I can take that as long as it’s bright. I have a towel load in the wm and will hang it out on the line once finished.
I had another email from the mad one yesterday 🙄 saying that she would be in my village yesterday afternoon and could she pop in with my money and pick up the receipts I didn’t even respond which gave me a good feeling 😬 she wants the receipts so she can get money from her mum, I do not want her round my house so she can wait for a while I have waited long enough.
Dinner today is roast beef and all the trimmings, I still have to do my car insurance and pull some paperwork out for my H&S check which is tomorrow.
Dogs to be walked later and then the fire will be lit this evening as the nights are still chilly.
My father in law has given us a bit of money to thank us for all we do for him and for my Birthday which is coming up, we have decided to get a round garden table which will fit in the garden sofa so we can sit in comfort and eat and a sturdy gazebo as our umbrellas keep breaking, it’s a lovely thought bless him.
Thinking of Mehefin today xxx
Have good days all and take care xx9 -

Gers, I'm doing a kitchen clean and sort and now have a few things to get rid of. Your knickers being a worry made me laugh, though I have some in the same condition.
Hope you do have a Chinese meal Mehefin.
Ruby you do the right thing not having the Mad One anywhere near your house,
Everyone sounds busy cleaning windows and doing gardens, spring must have sprung.
Hope you feel better soon Remmie!

Derek, I hope today is filled with some good memories as well as the inevitable sadness.
I've been struck down by yet another lurgy, a stomach one this time and have spent the last two days in bed. It's not completely better yet but better than it was. I'm so fed up with being ill, it seems like 2025 has been one long litany of ailments.
I hope all the other poorlies are feeling ok.9 -

Good afternoon everyone
The sun is shining here but there's a chilly wind - I have some washing out on the line. I had a lovely couple of days in London with eldest DD and the Harry Potter play was amazing, with lots of magic and special effects.
I've got such a painful knee though, I think it must be connected to when I fell down the last couple of stairs about 10 days ago - I ended up with quite a limp yesterday, it was made worse by the very cramped seats we were in in the theatre. The play was on for 5 hours, in two parts! We had a lovely Italian meal in between them. I'll do an econsult tomorrow morning if it's no better.
Dads' music player arrived, but I'm having difficulty putting the music on to it - I've saved on to Amazon music, but it won't download as I haven't got enough space on my laptop. If anyone has any good ideas please share before I throw both things out the window! I've deleted things, done clean ups, nothing is working.
I had a good chat with little one this morning, they had a good time in London but she's had a few massive tantrums for DD, like she just can't control herself - she has her first appointment with the play therapist next Friday so I'm hoping that will start to help. She's still on her milk feeds and her pump overnight, and is eating little bits of food, but is still really tired most of the time. I'm not sure yet what is happening with school next week, she'll maybes just go for a little while in the mornings. She told me she loved Lion King, the London Eye and the Paddington Bear experience.
Right I'd best do some jobs. I haven't read back yet so I hope you're all ok x8 -

Good evening friends
Well it has been a strange day in many ways. I walked down to the cemetery in the home village of Dawn where her Mum and Granny are buried via the local Co-op ( where I got some rtc tulips). It is a lovely spot overlooking the Bristol Channel and extremely peaceful. I sat and watched the shipping for a while in the sunshine and felt at peace - not something I have been used to recently. At some point Dawn's ashes will be here too - except for a good proportion which will be spread at the field.
After the lunchtime chores I spent a few hours stripping ivy off the front of the house - 4 green bags so far, and more to go.
We did have the Chinese takeaway tonight, with copious amounts of red wine, and had a lovely time. I am so glad I agreed to have it - in some ways it was cathartic, but invoked lots of memories.
A belated hugs and spoons as always - Hopefully normal service will resume shortly
Mehefin aka Derek11
