Mobile Only Price?

I was searching online for hotels the other day, and I saw a message for a couple of the offers, that said "Mobile Only Price."

What does that mean?

No idea from that alone but if you share links to the relevant sites/pages, others can look too and maybe offer suggestions?

Probably only available via their mobile app.

That thought did cross my mind too, but the obvious way to describe that would be 'app only price'!

Just did a bit of searching and it sounds like it's quite literal, i.e. pricing available for bookings made from mobile devices (not necessarily apps as such):

It means nothing, something just to make you feel unique.

Mobile price, special price, just for you..

Prices vary depending on if you logged in or not, if you on laptop, mobile or using app. Come from websites like Quidco, use giftcards, referral codes, other discounts. Different day, different dates..

    It does really mean nothing.

I occasionally get marketing messages from hotel chains that I use that offer an extra x% off or bonus reward points if I book through the app rather than website. I'd assume that you are seeing the same thing.

One possible reason for this is that booking through a website lets you use affiliate websites such as Topcashback or Quidco - booking via the app excludes that, so the savings on affiliate payments probably pays for the special offer.

Mobile only price is just that.
A special price for booking via a mobile.

And it makes it easier for the website operator to collect data on you!

It doesn't mean nothing. Searching for hotels recently on phone and laptop, the prices were cheaper on the phone for exactly the same hotel, same dates where it was listed as mobile price.
