I'm looking at the outfox v5 but have I've got big exit fees till the 12th March. Does Outfox let you delay the actual switch a couple weeks i.e. till within the 49 days when you sign up? And does anyone know if doing it this way would get round the exit fees my current supplier will hit me with?
Why not just wait a couple of weeks?  Obviously no one knows whether this fix will still be available then, but I don't think there is any suggestion that prices are suddenly going to rocket back up again - the trend is downward for fixed deals right now due to lower wholesale costs. The price cap is going in the opposite direction as it reflects prices from a period starting more than three months ago.

I clicked  from quote page. OFTM allows switch date to be picked currently up until and including 28 March. "As this is outside of your 14-day cooling off period, you will not be able to cancel your contract"

12 March -  This means your switch will complete within your 14 day cooling off period. You can still cancel your switch within 14 days, however you will need to pay Outfox the Market for any energy you use until you switch back to your old supplier.
  • UPDATE: I rang them and yes, they've moved me over to the new, cheaper v5.0 tariff. :-)

I'm in a similar situation to above, I switched to 'Fix'd Dual Feb25 v1.0' in the panic but just seen 'Fix'd Dual Apr25 12M v2.0' could save me 5%.

OTM said I can change tariffs with no penalty but presumably I'm then fixed for another few months, I know future energy prices are a crystal ball but is it worth it?

I tried to get one of their fixes on Sunday for my dad (existing customer) and it failed right at the last hurdle. Wasn't a huge saving but very frustrating and not the first time its happened.

The 1y version 4 appeared over the weekend and is by far the cheapest tariff at the moment, works out roughly £10 a month cheaper than my current deal with them that expires next month, thinking do I sign up now or wait it out in case a slightly better deal appears.
