    Argos don't make it easy.....

When I look up the item now here:

Buy Vodafone Nokia 105 4G Mobile Phone - Charcoal | Pay as you go phones | Argos

Under "About this Product" the very first item says:

"This product is supplied without a charging device"

but further down under "Box contents" it says:

    "
Cable, Charger and Quick start guide.
     USB charger and cable included."

Also although it does say that you need to buy the £10 topup, i.e.

    • Handset must be purchased with £10 airtime. This will automatically be added to your transaction. Handset not available without airtime.
When I actually add it to the basket it seems I can buy without and the airtime is simply "optional"

.....when you read the questions and answers for the product there is more than one answer that says a charger is included....but there are contradictory answers about whether the phone is unlocked (seemingly from Argos staff) some say it is, others say it isn't.

I've purchased one for £9.99 anyway. Let's see what I get - if I don't like it then I'll take it back for a refund.

Since December 2021, mobile firms are no longer allowed to lock phones to their network.

Update - I purchased the Nokia 105 4g mobile from Argos for £9.99 (I see the price has now gone up to £13.50).

I didn't have to buy the £10 top-up. Mobile comes with charger and vodaphone sim card, although I'm going to get a sim card from asda instead as above.

Seems like a good phone for the price. It even has a radio and very limited internet access as well as two sim card slots.

Some of the settings are not very intuitive. Keypad kept locking and I spent ages working out how to turn the lock off, still some setting to work out, e.g. how to store numbers.

Presumably it's the 2021 version not the 2023 version?

I'm not sure but this is the link to it and it has gone up by £3.50!

Yes, I commented on that in my post above - I bought one a week ago (2023 version) for £9.99 but within a few days the price went up!

To top it off I used the MSE guide for best sim only deals here:

....and I now have a lebara sim with unlimited text and calls for 85p a month for the first 8 months
