I love Prague too @ruby_eskimo. Was it cold? Ive only visited in the Summer.
I hit pan in my Bare Minerals Pressed Mineral Veil yesterday.
One week left of March. Cant wait. I work in Residential Conveyancing and it has been manic.
Any predictions for UU to end the month? I think my night serum and toner will be done.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

It was 4 degrees one day with a lot of wind so a bit chilly and the rest of the time was 8 to 10 degrees so not too bad. We've been a few times for the Christmas markets with snow and minus figures and that's been cold but so worth it 🥶
Couple more UU for the month:
Wild Mini Deodorant - WBA, I like this as an everyday deodorant, keeps me smelling fresh and the Rainforest Oasis scent is my favourite although it was only limited edition 😢 Have gone back to my full size in the Cherry Blossom scent.
Prai Neck Cream - this came out of the M&S advent calendar and I don't think it did anything 🤣 used it every night since December but no difference in my neck. Will not be purchasing again 😆
Also had a very generous gifted IN from some friends of a Jo Malone Shower Gel - never had a product from them so a definite treat. Will have to wait to use it till I've finished my Bayliss and Harding soap that I'm using at the moment 🤣Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20171 -

There is a point to this post though! Before Xmas I had an allergic reaction to salon hairspray and while my face is mostly better, I definitely need a product with sunscreen every time I leave the house this year. So on Monday I have an appointment at a beauty counter. I’m hoping that I will leave knowing my skin tone/shade, and they’ll give me some samples to test.
I do still have a drawerful of makeup from pre-pandemic days, when I wore makeup for work. It never seemed to look right on Teams calls so I stopped wearing any (I’m hoping that the makeup artist will help me understand why). But maybe with a bit of shade mixing, I could use it up. The question is, how dangerous would that be - are there some types of makeup you’d definitely throw away?In advance of my beauty counter visit I’ve had a first pass at the makeup drawer. I know what the definite gaps are now. I’ve also swatched a few products. It’s made me realise that with some it’s not the colour I don’t like, but how heavy the formulation is.
TA - I thought these were spluttering but they seem to have dried up
YSL Touche Eclat
Benefit They’re Real Mascara
No 7 Mascara
TA - these were NBI
Body Shop Lipstick in a really non-flattering shade
No7 lip gloss, ditto and I really disliked its stickiness
I can decide on UUs when I know what’s IN.
I’ve also washed my makeup brushes with the cleaner I use for my watercolour brushes. Much more effective than plain soap! Here to confess my INs (see what I did there?) before I work out my UUs and TAs at the weekend
IN: Trinny London products colour matched at the counter
BFF SPF30 Skin Perfector (replaces the pre-pandemic foundations I need to TA)
BFF Eye Serum Concealer (replaces YSL Touche Eclat TA)
Eye2Eye in a matte neutral tan
Lip2Cheek in a matte soft neutral peach
Also IN:
Clinique Lash Power Mascara (replaces TA mascaras)
Clinique Almost Lipstick Black Honey
With these I can now do a no-makeup look, to ease back into wearing some. And trial the eye/cheek/lip makeup I already have that I can UU.
I’ll do my time on the naughty step for the Almost Lipstick!
I have one IN for skincare - The Ordinary 5% Lactic Acid (replaces more harsh acids TA after my allergic reaction, as a precaution) and one Splutterer - The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser (I’ve aleady started a TO Glycolipid Cream Cleanser)
Garnier Cleanser Sensitive Skin
Clinique Moisture Surge
TA: Vaseline Aloe Lip Salve - too greasy
Spluttering: I repurposed the tin for the dregs of two Nivea lip balms dug out of the tube
Lots going ‘IN’ at the moment, I need to audit everything so I can prove to myself there’s a net reduction - within a couple of months!

Ive made an effort this week to get the uses in on the makeup. The blush is an old one that I have really fallen in love with.
Will get the last use of the nail colour in over the weekend.
Think everything else will be carried over.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

I'm also trying to really use the makeup too @VALM - hoping to have a few empties in that area soon!
Have managed to UU a couple of things:
UD All Nighter Setting Spray - this was the mini travel size (15ml) that I bought for our hand luggage only trip the other week (needed to save as much space as possible in the liquid bag!) Have a full size that is sounding a little light so might be gone soon too.
Corsodyl toothpaste - WBA, have to use this and it definitely makes a difference.
Have a few more things that look like they'll be finished before the end of the month so will probably be back on Monday 😂Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20171 -
One last UU for the month:
- Mad About Skin- Protect & Hydrate Sunscreen- SPF 50, 100ml: My fave facial SPF! I got one free when I did my order last time, so have one in the stash ready to go.
I won't finish anything else now and it's payday today so that's my 'months end'- here are my Month Totals:
IN: 8 items (£38.63)
OUT: 11 items
Difference: 3 less items in the stash by months-end
£38.63 is a nice low number this month! Got to get a few bits in April (mascara, concealer) so it'll definitely be more. I've barely had a chance to do any skincare tbh at the moment whilst our new dog is requiring a lot of attention, so it might not be worth replacing the snail mucin (which ran out a hundred years ago aka February) or my kombucha toner at the moment. OR because it's been hard work I'll want to treat myself, but we shall see- one of the other!

Final UU's for the month:
Corsodyl Daily Mouthwash - staple, WBA, have replaced with the last in the stash
Shea Moisture 10 in 1 Hair Mask - WNBA, felt this was just coating my hair rather than doing anything to it and I just didn't like the scent. Would purchase the watermelon one again next time. Currently using a mini of an Aveda one
Etude House Drawing Eye Brow - was my HG brow pencil but not really sure anymore. May repurchase but have replaced with the Glossier Boy Brow which works for me for a quicker look
Kosas Air Brow Clear - was ok, got it as a freebie when I was in Sephora a few years ago. WNBA, there's better clear brow gels for a lot less money
Saie Glowy Super Gel - WBA and already have, love this as a second primer, really helps my makeup really stay in place and gives a lovely glow underneath.
Skin & Me Treatment - WBA, and already have a replacement ready to go.
So the totals for March are:
OUTS - 44! @ £272.43
INS - 0! Well 1 gift but not really counting that.
