    My first mot was the 29/9/19, I took the car in a week earlier for its service and mot.
    That way if it fails its mot it could be warranty work so covered. Unless you have a longer warranty.
    Sods law a parking sensor went 10 days before, so was covered.
    I'd be surprised if a parking sensor would have affected your MOT - I can't find anything in the testers handbook that suggests parking sensors are tested, unless I've missed it: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/mot-inspection-manual-for-private-passenger-and-light-commercial-vehicles

    In the OPs position I'd want it in as early as possible because this is the first time it's had an MOT, so there's a potential for there to be faults that might have been "building up" for three years, rather than the usual one year.

    It was about getting anything fixed under warranty, just before it was 3 years old.

    Warranty does not cover everything.
    Dig out the warranty & see exactly what it covers. 
    Rule of thumb on most it is "Manufacturing Defects"
