£5.86 spend on Wednesday in Ald!
Tofu, plant menu chicken pieces, coffee and cucumber.
I can't remember if I've added the bulk buy of loo rolls to last month (haven't added it to this month), need to check that

Visited Lidl yesterday, and pleased to say I stuck with my shopping lists, well almost. I couldn't find a jar of Marmite, so instead I bought a large chicken. I watched on 'Batch from Scratch', Suzanne Mulholland, cook a spatchcock chicken over a bed of veg, and I wanted to try it. I've got pieces of swede, sweet potato, carrot, celery and potato to use up.
Lidl came to £42.75 which came out of my remaining budget of £49.50, leaving me with £6.75. I've enough in to last until the end of the month except I'll be needing more milk and fruit/veg on Wednesday. Life will be a bit 'up in the air' next week as Hubby going into hospital on Thursday 27th for a new knee. Just sailing with the flow....

Hope all goes well for your DH, @GSDMum!
In the meantime I'm adding this weekend's spend of £94.21, which on paper looks like I'm still on track. BUT I still haven't been down to the city for the non-perishables & we're beginning to run very low on coffee, butter, tinned tomatoes & assorted tinned beans... I may pop down early next week, but will have to watch my trolley very carefully & make sure no extras jump in.Angie - GC May 25: £74.30/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 21/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)6 -
Can somebody who is good at the search (as it's not working for me) find when I first posted about "Wearth it" toilet rolls? So I can figure out where I'm at with adding them to the budget.
I know they were ordered or arrived on the 22nd of January. So I assumed I first added them on to the February budget.

After my DH's spell in hospital the shopping needs have changed, a lot! Cheese and butter usage has fallen off a cliff, whereas veg, especially bits you can dip? we are really getting through it. I might have to bin some soup I made too as he has announced he doesn't like it! Anyway, our budget is a bit haywire and I am up to just under £650 for the year to date. Just over a week to go and I may need hummus (reduced fat) and oranges for the fruit bowl (the new chocolate), and I'm getting through the fruit I cooked and stored in pop-top jars. So a great deal of fruit is being eaten hereSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £2664.85 out of £6000 after March (44.41%)

625/550 I am calling it for March as go from 23rd til 23rd. I am finding it easier to keep very roughly around my budget since hubby stopped eating so much. He too likes satsumas but is also a big fan of soup now. He still overbuys a bit in aldi but he is not so hungry all the time since taking the Mojo jabs that GP prescribed.21k savings no debt6

Afternoon all
love the tip about the leeks @WickedLady4, will do that next time.
I try and freeze as much as I possibly can at the moment.
Just been to Lidl and I have miraculously come in on budget 🤣 total coincidence.
milk, crème fraiche, decaf t bags and streaky bacon. Oh and a couple of little gems.
Still have loads in the fridge and freezer.
Don’t intend to spend any more this month
£6.97 spent today
Total March £399.85/£400
See you in April
