Saving money on Sky by switching to Stream?

I live with the parents and, at the moment, the old man is paying for Sky Q (over £100 per month). Bearing in mind its the same household, would Sky be ok with dad scrapping Sky Q and me joining as a new customer (dad would ultimately continue to pay).  Would this save any money compared to dad simply phoning Sky and asking to switch to Stream (on the website there is a lot of "for new customers only" going on)(?

If you're thinking of changing, maybe look at what you actually need?

Virtually anything else will save money compared to £100/month.

A lot of people have done similar switches with TV/BB providers generally without problems.
