Has anybody tried Octaplus Broadband??

Has anybody tried Octaplus Broadband? My broadband is due for renewal in a couple of weeks and I keep seeing ads for Octaplus Broadband and others on Facebook, they seem cheap enough, has anyone got any experience with any of them?
Thanks

I'm close to the end of a 2 year contract with them, they took over the original company I signed up to on Cityfibre.  It was a good two year deal with a true fixed price, no annual CPI increase.

In the early days there were regular 'no service' issues and calling to report or get feedback was a waste of time.  I think they expanded very quickly and couldn't cope.  First few calls sounded like I was dealing with someone who just answered a phone and was in no way tech minded.

The overseas call centre then worked from scripts, you'd give them your details, they would pass you on, supposedly carry out checks, pass you around, ask for details again etc etc then simply say it was a known problem being worked on, but never an estimation of how long it would be down.

It then settled down and outages have been very very rare, ironically the last outage was last Sunday morning for about an hour.  Other than that they send a bill and I pay it.  Over the two years far more ISP options are available on Cityfibre, prices have dropped so I may move on.

    Thanks for the reply,
I might give them a go, it seems a good price and I like the fact they don't have any annual price increases. I'd imagine any drop outs are more to do with the  city fibre network rather than Octaplus so whoever you go with will have similar issues?
