in Water bills
Decided to apply for a water meter after hike of £120 for 2025-26 bill.
Meter fitted yesterday ( found out by accident after going out to see what was going on).
No explanation given except “it’ll all be automatic now”.
Point is, I’ve already paid water bill up until 31 March 2025.
When do they start the new tariffs and reading the meteraged water?
Seems I’m going to pay for water twice.

Your first bill be be pro-rata - time on ratable value and time on metered.
Then you will have a credit for the amount you already paid - something like this:
Unmetered Bill £25
Metered usage £20
Credit for payment made £30
Balance = £15.1
