Afternoon everyone
A day off today. It’s pouring down with rain. Got an eye test this afternoon. I have a white spot on my Iris so wanted it checked. I also get a free test through work.DS2 hasn’t stopped talking since he was awake, apparently I have to listen to it all. I will be glad to get out this afternoon. I hope the rain will ease off.
Dinner tonight will be chicken stir fry.Bella congratulations on your DGS, he has the same name as my youngest. Hope mum & baby are doing well.
Redruby - hope you get the money your owed now the SW is involved.
DP1 good news that dgd has eaten some olives.Hugs to all the poorlies, get better soon.8 -
Oh dear YL the phrase."you won't like me when I'm angry" springs to mind. You.tell 'em!
Compared to my pharmacy woes yesterday my surgery request for an alternative tablet went through seamlessly this morning. Just let B's mess that up!

@YorksLass has your home had a stock condition survey? It's something that all social housing providers have to do, and it would hopefully identify what the cause of that problem leak is.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Afternoon all,
I didn't manage to get on yesterday and have been gadding about in London today. Went to the Vogue exhibition at the Lightbox near Kings Cross. Well worth the trip up. Much gentrification around that area but seamlessly blending new buildings with very sympathetic usage of the old cold yard buildings and gas works. Was a good day.
Many congratulations to @bellabella on your new grandson - great name (my oldest!) and a good weight. Hope both Mum and baby are doing okay x
Annoying about the workmen @YorksLass
Good that the community tasks are keeping you busy @mehefin but can understand you not wanting to take on too much right now x
So fed up for you @RedRuby1231 - I hope the social worker can help the situation. That's a lot of money to be owed.
I too would like to go to Battersea Power Station - was thinking the lift was like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory @WickedLady4!
Have a good evening all

Hello everyone
My uncles' funeral went well this afternoon, one of his old friends spoke about him, the man was obviously really nervous but he made a good job of it - they'd known each other since they were just five. My auntie is going to stay with my cousin for a few weeks, she lives a good 9 or 10 hour drive away.
The cats were picked up this morning by the cattery lady, so they're sorted and I have my bag ready to go to London tomorrow.
Coxy - I booked DD and I tickets for the Vogue exhibition tomorrow night, so it's good to hear it's worth seeing. She wanted a look round that area anyways, as she's never been. My train gets in at 10 to 2, we're going to a Tim Burton exhibition at the Design Museum, then back to go to the Vogue thing and some tea in that area. Then we'll go to our hotel, which is in Docklands, so a bit of to-ing and fro-ing.
Then Friday we'll have a wander then a double bill of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, with tea booked at a lovely looking Italian restaurant in between shows.
Saturday will probably be a lazy breakfast then a walk then DD has to leave about 11.30 to get back to Stanstead, my train leaves at 1pm. There's engineering works at Doncaster which means it will take nearly 5 hours to get home, but I have my book and podcasts so I'll be fine.
Right, going to wash up then have a nice bath x
Bella congratulations on your new grandson x

Evening All
Late one from me, I was running late this morning and work was extremely busy today. It was still light at 5.15 so spring is definitely on the way.
Congrats Bella, hope everyone is doing well.
Happy Birthday Gers!
Words fail me Ruby - the family certainly seem to like the money but not the caring.
Have a great trip dp1, glad the little one has been eating and enjoying her time in London. I was there a few weeks ago and loved the new Battersea, such a change from how it was when I lived nearby years ago.
Feel better soon taff.
Sounds like a good day Coxy.
I'm just going in the shower and will give my hair a good condition as it's haircut day tomorrow.
Take care. XX7 -
@bellabella - Congratulations on the new addition to your family tree. Good timing getting there for the family move.
