Thanks for the start RedRuby
Torrential rain here 😔- yesterday was lovely and sunny DMum had a nice birthday with coffee, cake and plant purchases at the local nursery.
managed some garden tidying and filled the brown bin ahead of its first pick up tomorrow. My back knows that I did that!
Looks like today will be indoor jobs.Take care all

Cold her with a hard frost.
I had a nasty email conversation with Robs sister yesterday that family can be horrible and cause me so much stress, they owe me £120 for mileage this has been going on for three months, his sister told me she couldn’t pay it as she was stressed in her job ( she works behind the counter in a chemist) and it’s expensive looking after Rob, 🙄 errr yes I know you owe me a lot of money, I have told her I want payment by Friday latest, I wouldn’t mind but Rob gets higher rate mobility allowance to cover these things they just don’t like parting with his money ! I have passed this onto the sw now as it’s getting beyond a joke, I can’t keep paying for him for months on end !
Dinner tonight will be either spag bol or chilli, I have some tomato sauce in the freezer that needs using so might do a spag, wm is on and doing its thing.
Thinking of Mehefin and hoping he is bearing up xxx
Have good days all and take care xx14 -
Morning all. It's raining hard outside and I have to go out in it in a while.
Ruby: that's dreadful about the money. As you say, they don't want to part with Rob's money and it makes you wonder if they use that for their household income. I hope the SW can sort something out.
We had a super day in London yesterday. Met up with a friend and we did the newly renovated Battersea Power Station, including going up in Lift 109. The general area is vast, as it was two power stations side by side, but now it's all high end shops and eating places. I wish they had made a bit more of an exhibition of how it used to be though; there's only a bit tucked away at one end.
I'm off to help at the Larder in a short while so hope everyone has a good day.14 -
Morning all, glad Mum had a nice birthday Allie.Ruby bet you had steam coming out of your ears after that spat. It's not good enough is it, you do your best for the poor chap. Hope you get your money soon.DH has gone for an early physio appt. hoping she can help with some of his mobility.I did a bit more cardmaking yesterday then rang friend for the usual catch up once I got in from a walk. The pork casserole turned out nicely, which reminds me I need to get something out of the freezer for today, we're always later after school pick up for DGS.Nothing else of note apart from heavy rain during the night which seems to have eased off for now. Finished all my library books now but my new reading glasses seem a little tight so will need to call in and have them adjusted.I hope everyone has a pleasant day.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning
Chucking it down here. Yesterday I met my friend for a catch up and now have a bag of new to me books to read. I can't remember the last time I bought a book.
No plans for today apart from dog walking, luckily he went out this morning before the rain started. I think a nice beef stew for tea with some baguette to mop up the gravy.
Ruby, words fail me with Robs sister. It seems you are right to stand up to her or she will walk all over you. How she can treat someone like that who is helping her brother is beyond me.
TA, I was also fuming at your treatment in the pharmacy. I sometimes think it goes either way, they either treat you as senile or take pity on 'the poor old biddy'.
Anyways that's all from me, keep dry in the rain and stay warm in the cold.
Take care all.

Ruby, just wanted to say that you've done the right thing getting Rob's SW involved - hope it is resolved soon. Does his money move with him to the respite placement?2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Morning all Despite many promises to be here every weekday unfortunately real life got in the way .
We have a new grandson who arrived on Friday weighing in at 7lb 4oz named Thomas 2 weeks early and just in time to help with his parents house move over the weekend . DGS 1 then came home with us for a couple of days so they could finish up and sort out and was collected by his mum yesterday so i now am sitting in the quiet contemplating what i should be doing today
Weather is cold and grey as usual so washing needs to be put on the heated airer and i need to take a duvet to the dry cleaners its a kingsize feather one so i shall take advantage of their £10 offer . Dinner tonight chicken kiev and assorted veg
Have a good day one and all stay warm and safe whatever you are up to xxSlava Ukraini12 -

Another one fuming re Robs family Ruby
Can the Sw ring fence his benefits so they can just be used for him, sounds as if they just go into someone’s general account .

have overstretched myself a bit this week and housework will have to wait !14 -
Morning folks and thanks RUBY. I hope you get some back up from SS and they can get the money you are owed paid back to you. It's not fair on either you or poor Rob.
It was chucking it down here earlier but we are now having a bit of a respite.. I don't think more rain is far away. though. I keep seeing the S word getting banded about but we don't want that thank you! As I am in all day the rain can come and go as it pleases I suppose. When I can get my arris into gear there are jobs awaiting. The wm has just finished so that will definitely go on the airer upstairs to dry.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12 -
Morning everyone
Dry here but very cold when I popped out to the bin.
Yesterday was a lovely sunny day, I enjoyed my afternoon out with my friend. I had an email saying dads' music player was out for delivery but it didn't arrive which was disappointing, as I was hoping to get it sorted for him before I went to London.
I have two crying cats - they want to go outside, but the lady from the cattery is picking them up at 10.30. Little cat would be fine and would come back in, but biggest would disappear!
It's my uncles funeral this afternoon, my cousin is picking my mam and I up and taking us to my aunties' house about an hour away then we are going in the undertakers' car with them. Then we have a taxi booked to bring us home again, dad has a carer for the afternoon. I'm feeling quite stressed about it, I'm lucky I haven't been to many funerals.
Anyways, good news I had a message yesterday afternoon saying little one was eating olives! She'd had a few little bites of food when they were on the Paddington afternoon tea bus too, so a little bit progress at last. She'd loved that and the Paddington Bear experience and their ride on the London Eye. Today they're going to see Lion King which she is so excited for.
Right I need to sort my bag out to go to London tomorrow. I hope everyone has a good day today x12
