The standing charge difference is just shy of 3p a day = £11 a year. Of more relevance is the unit cost where although the difference is only 0.3p/kwh it has a much greater effect. If you use the average of 12,000kwh = £36. so you could be £25 a year worse off.
The standing charge, although irritating really isn't as important as the unit cost unless you are a really low user. 10p a day extra on a standing charge equates to £36.50 a year where just 0.5p extra per kwh could be around £60 for an average user.
You do need to do your sums based on your consumptionNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers4
