How can a kitchen company build me a new kitchen when the units probably won't fit together?

Oh, and if you have returns on worktops, use mitred joints. They look way much better, and there are no nasty joining strips to collect germs and dirt. Any decent fitter will have the tools & jigs to cut mitres joints, and it really doesn't take any extra effort.
Not always that easy to butt and scibe worktops in a small kitchen, the hob and sink cut outs can be so close to the corner you cant fit the bolts, or the worktop will be weakened so much it won't hold. I fitted a small sink on that (pictured) kitchen but it still overlapped the corner. The only way to fit the worktops in that kitchen Butt & scibed would be to pre joint them as no access to the bolts once in situ, but the room is so small to lift in a pre made U shape worktop was impossible. But no offence taken, it's the only kitchen I've ever fitted with metal worktop joints, I have the Jig, a router and tressles and normally do the bizz!! Hopefully I've fitted my last kitchen ever now too. It's a rental house I own, so nobody else to please with the job.

    Point taken.
At least with joining strips, sections can be quickly replaced if they get damaged without too much effort. With a mitred joint, you'd probably have to replace the lot.
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –
