EssexHebridean said:It’s not all about the payback period either - when it comes to heating comfort and convenience is just as big a factor combined with ongoing costs.Yes my old manual heaters I have to watch the weather and adjust charge ahead of time - the smart charging algoirthm in the modern ones - and the fact you are programming room thermostatic control and not just the "brick core cut off temperature" makes them far far better. One month last winter - with just 3 heaters - I noted 16 seperate tweaks to input settings - and on/off - as weather swung from freezing nights to low teens and cooled again etc.The HHR just puts if you like a thicker insulation jacket on top of the best lot 20 non HHR models - so you loose less heat - until you program them to release it.And yes if you do a quick google - just on line supply - the Quantum RF150 is getting on for £1000 - upto £960 in the first 2 links below for 150 - the smaller ones less. But I'd get install and supply by a local firm if doing it (no arguments whether it's install or device - they get both working or don't get final payment)1st two google links for a search for "quantum rf storage heaters uk" - not a recommendation of either.AsideJust saw a line in the Creda TSRE spec linked from that heatershop site - under "comms" talking about if RF module fitted - anyone any experience ?0
