Tesco Mobile will not replace a faulty Samsung phone
Hello,
I am purchasing a Samsung Z Flip 6 on a Tesco Mobile contract which started on October 2024, my monthly payment includes a payment for the phone plus calls, data, etc. Last week, after installing an update, the phone started to develop an issue - main screen not working after opening the flip-phone. Initially it was intermittent, but on Friday, the main screen stopped working altogether making the phone unusable. I went into a Tesco Mobile shop where they told me that they will not do anything because I did not take out insurance cover at the start of the contract, and that I will need to send it to Samsung for repair. The phone is as new, and only 4 months old, so I would have thought that Tesco should take responsibility for selling a faulty item that is not fit for purpose?? (I have been on a Samsung forum and apparently this issue is not an uncommon occurrence on Flip phones)
