Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

    Hi everyone.

A fix has been developed for this, but it's not scheduled to be released until an update early next month

    Loads!

Just as peak behind the scenes, there is usually an update every 2 weeks with new features and bug fixes.
You don't usually see here just how much is getting improved or changed because many features aren't appropriate to our community (multi-language, multi-group, event management, integrations, and many more) - we actually use only a fraction of the features, though we hope to turn on some of the best ones during the course of this year.

...All just to explain that this is a much, much more complicated platform than our forum users may think which is why the occasional bug sometimes appears and fixes sometimes seem to take longer than might be expected.

Perhaps a rhetorical question, but doesn't this suggest a flawed software selection process, if a platform was chosen that's far larger and more complex than necessary, or wasn't there anything available that was a better fit for the actual requirements?
