RBS Natwest Joint reward account.

Does anybody know how you open a joint one of these when you already have a sole one. I want to open a joint one of each with my wife to max out rewards but because I already have a sole one it steers me to other account options only.

Click on help within the app, and click on chat to Cora0

Follow that link and eventually it will suggest that you switch to the app.
Will be easier if your wife is already an account holder.0 -
The problem is it seems to be prompting me to add her to my account. I want to open a joint one in addition to our sole accounts and I can't see a way to do this.0

Might be easiest to set up a new (sole) account each then join them?s71hj said:The problem is it seems to be prompting me to add her to my account. I want to open a joint one in addition to our sole accounts and I can't see a way to do this.0 -
I'm wondering if what I might have to do is open a different type of RBS and Natwest joint account then convert it into a Reward oneflaneurs_lobster said:

What I did with both Natwest and RBS is open a sole Select account, add a second name then change the now joint Select account to Reward.
FYi you only need to meet the minimum pay in on one of your Reward accounts, so if you both have a sole and a joint then funding just the joint covers all 3 accounts.1 -
Cheers, and for the really useful piece of cashflow info too. Tbh opening a Select now means I can convert near to bang on the first day of the next month too as there will be no time to set up the required direct debits in Feb now so probably a blessing I didn't open a joint Reward at the outset.WillPS said:What I did with both Natwest and RBS is open a sole Select account, add a second name then change the now joint Select account to Reward.

Are they paying you rewards in all 3 accounts? I thought maybe wrongly it was only one per person (so either a sole or a joint).WillPS said:FYi you only need to meet the minimum pay in on one of your Reward accounts, so if you both have a sole and a joint then funding just the joint covers all 3 accounts.0 -
I've had 2x NatWest and 2x RBS accounts for several years and can confirm that's how it works. I meet the pay in on one of my accounts (ie. one at each bank) and it qualifies the other. You still need to have enough DDs coming out of each account though. Get rewards paid on all of them.trient said:

As above, can confirm I receive £5 for my sole accounts and wife receives £5 for our joint and her sole, with both RBS and Natwest. Only the joint accounts receive the required funding, soles just get 3 <£5 payments via standing order to cover direct debits and £2 account fees.trient said:

I'm over my PSA while my wife still has plenty of allowance, hence us nominating her to receive rewards on the joint.1
