Ebay Watched Items Have Jumped in Price

I raise the price of my items fairly regularly.
When I get new 'stock' I have it in the house, photograph it and list it. I try to set the prices keenly and add the best offer option.
The idea is, if it pops up on a buyers saved search they will be happy to pay my price and it will sell quickly.
These items sit in boxes in my house for a week or two after listing.
After that, all the unsold items get moved into a storage unit.
I have to pay rent on the unit, plus, if an item sells I have to drive to the unit to collect it.
So, once I have moved them I increase the listing price to account for that. I also set an auto-decline on the best offer for less than my original listed amount when I put the price up.
I think this resuin fewer sales but does mean it's actually worthwhile selling something if I have been holding onto it for a year or more!
I've also got plenty of items that have been listed for ages and those items are either being watched or even in someone's basket so I guess a lot of buyers just add items to basket/watch list for comparison or just incase they ever need one, not that they are just hoping it is still available on pay day?0 -
I wish there was an option to see the 'for sale' price as you prep your advert on eBay.I'm selling to get rid of stuff not as a business.I would rather price things that are attractive to the buyer and psychologically whole numbers are more attractive and generate more sales.May you find your sister soon Helli.

Must admit I had forgotten about the price increases and an item I was watching went up a really odd amount, something
like £3.82. Seller is dreaming on the sale price and I offered him more than I have been paying through auction listings so
thought it was a fair price and I have been the highest bidder on several of them now.
He not only rejected my offer but increased the price by a fair margin and has reduced it twice and then it went up £3.82
which I thought was odd until it clicked that the increase was just the buyer protection.
Just waiting to see if this items gets listed for less than I offered or he sends it to a charity shop.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
