Chip Bonus Code

An article in the Daily Mail says that you can get 5.03% with a 0.71% bonus, if you use the code ISABOOST. I've tried inputting the code into my existing Chip ISA but it will not accept it. Am I right in thinking the bonus is only available to new ISAs, even though the Mail article makes no mention of that?.

Yes the boosted rate is just for new customers.

Also, you can’t have had any type of Chip account in the past, not just be opening an ISA with them for the first time.
